Student Art Awards & Bursaries
Since 1987, the Whistler Arts Council has been recognizing artistic achievement in the visual, literary, performing and media arts as demonstrated by graduating students from elementary and secondary schools in Whistler, Pemberton and Mt. Currie.
Art Awards
The Whistler Arts Council Art Award is awarded to a graduating student from each school who has demonstrated artistic achievement in the visual, literary, performing or media arts. Awards of $500 are given to individuals graduating from Grade 12 from Whistler Secondary School, Pemberton Secondary School, École La Passerelle & l'École de La Vallée de Pemberton and Xit'olacw Community School, while $100 is awarded to a graduating student from Myrtle Philip & Spring Creek Community Schools and Signal Hill Elementary in Pemberton.
The deadline for applications is Friday, May 4, 2012.

Summer Arts Bursary
The Whistler Arts Council also provides an Art Bursary to a student in any grade from Myrtle Philip Community School, Spring Creek Community School, Whistler Secondary School, Alta Lake School, Signal Hill Elementary School, Pemberton Secondary and Xit'olacw Community School in Mt. Currie who will be attending an art camp during the summer to further their studies in the visual, performing, literary or media arts. Bursaries of $250 each are available towards tuition, accommodation and/or travel costs.
